Parma International Airport is connected with two of the most important European hubs: London Stansted and Rome Fiumicino Airport.
A coach service (bus n°6) connects the Giuseppe Verdi Airport to the central railway station in Parma.
Coaches leave every hour from outside the airport and cover the distance in about 30 minutes.
Other than by plane, Parma can be reached by car (motorway A1 and motorway A15) and by train. Here you will find some information on the possible routes.
Coming by car:
Parma is conveniently located close to the motorway A1, connecting Milano to Roma and Napoli, and to the motorway A15, connecting La Spezia to Parma. Both have an exit in Parma. Motorway A1 is recommended for those coming from Milan and Bologna, while motorway A15 for those coming from Genoa.
PLEASE NOTE: On certain trains, Eurostar and Intercity plus, seat reservations are compulsory. Passengers may be refused access to the train if they do not have a reservation.
